Sprouts Rice With Grilled Sausages Recipe| Delicious & Healthy Dinner

My trip to Thailand served me an incredibly superb and nutritious dinner. I had something similar to this at a fusion restaurant. It was grilled chicken over mushroom fried rice. I made a version of this dish using grilled chicken sausages and sprouts over fried rice.

I cooked it because, although I didn’t like sprouts, I wanted to include them in my diet because of their health benefits.
I therefore decided to serve fried rice with sprouts and grilled chicken sausages. The outcome happily astonished me, and ever since then, I’ve regularly treated myself to this nutritious dish.

Ingredients: (6 Servings)

For Rice:

  • 2 cups white rice
  • 6 to 8 cups of hot water
  • 1 tsp. salt or to taste

For Rice Seasoning:

  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 bell pepper (any color available)
  • Half a tsp. of grounded black pepper
  • Half a tsp. of hot paprika
  • 3 to 4 green chilies (Cut in half)
  • 1 tbsp. of light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. of white vinegar
  • 2 cups of fresh sprouts

For Serving:

  • 12 medium size chicken sausages (Grilled)
  • Chopped spring onion (For garnishing)

Instructions:

  • In a large pot, soak the rice for at least 20 minutes before washing completely.
  • Grab a large pot. Bring 6-8 cups of water to a boil, then add the washed rice.
  • Cook the rice thoroughly, and check to see whether it is cooked properly (it will take 10 to 15 minutes depending on the type of the rice); the rice should not be sticky.
  • Take a strainer, place the rice in it, and drain the leftover water. Set aside.
  • Take a large pan and heat the butter. Once heated, add the chopped onion and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. When the onion is cooked, add the bell peppers and cook for another 2 minutes, keeping the bell peppers crunchy. Stir should be remembered constantly. Add the green chilies.
  • Add the rice and well combine with the other ingredients.
  • Add the soy sauce, paprika, salt, black pepper, and vinegar and mix thoroughly. After testing, adjust the salt as needed.
  • Finally, mix the sprouts into the rice mixture, but turn off the stove if you want your dinner to be healthier. Otherwise, cook it for one more minute.
  • Now, garnish with spring onions and serve with grilled sausages. Have fun!

Cheers to Fusion Cooking!
